The Impact of Artificial Applause in Sports
Applause from the fans is so important that when NFL teams started playing an applause track the league banned the practice. Since the beginning of live performances in Ancient Greece and Rome, the response from the audience has elevated the performance. It doesn’t matter if it is live music, theater or sports. Without fans and cheering, it isn’t a game, it’s practice.
